Description
The London Borough of Waltham Forest, acting on behalf of the East London Coroner's Jurisdiction, is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to provide a service for the collection, transport and delivery of deceased persons to the public mortuaries. The East London Coroner's Jurisdiction covers five East London boroughs: Waltham Forest, Newham, Redbridge, Havering and Barking and Dagenham. Tenders are being sought to cover for all or any combination of the above five boroughs. The service is required on a 24/7, all year round basis, including all Bank Holidays. The contract will be run as a Framework Agreement with rates fixed for 3 years. We anticipate that the value of this contract will be in the region of £300,000 per annum for the lifespan of the contract, however the Council does not guarantee any contract sum. The contract will be for a period of 3 years, commencing in November 2019, with an option of 1 year extension, twice, subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties. The Tender will be procured through an open procedure on the Pro Contract System www.londontenders.org
