Description

• Identify and understand key barriers to global asset diversification faced by Chinese asset managers who look to do so, potential barriers may include but not limited to: asset class, market knowledge, return differentials, regulation, government support, international partners, arrangement of mutual recognition of funds;
• Explore whether 'special zone' arrangement in China (e.g. the Shanghai Free Trade Zone), could support Chinese asset managers in diversifying their portfolios into overseas assets, and how;
• Intelligence on what knowledge/tools/skills Chinese asset managers need to "Go Global"? What strategies the UK can employ to help Chinese asset managers diversify their portfolios into overseas assets and build up international presence?
