Description

'Parliament is seeking to procure training to increase committee effectiveness in questioning witnesses and providing effective scrutiny. Parliament wishes to ensure Committees are as effective as possible in holding Government and others to account, scrutiny of Government proposals and their other tasks by providing appropriate and cost effective support. Each committee has its own small staff, and trainers would be expected to work closely with the Clerk of the Committee and his or her team in defining the requirements for a particular Committee. The tender is in three lots: Coaching for Committee Chairs; Effective Questioning: Training in questioning skills for Committee members; Committees Working as a Team: training/ facilitation of Committee discussions. This is a Part B service, and this voluntary advert is published to enable transparency requirements are met. Full Part A procedures will Not be adhered to.'
