Description
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Directorate of Housing & Communities are seeking quotations for an Independent Damp and Mould Surveyor to assist in the anticipated increase in Damp and Mould works due to the recent regulatory changes.
We are seeking a contractor to support the Council in managing fluctuations in workload.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council do not currently have a contract in place. To ensure a fair and unbiased survey are conducted, we urgently require support for an essential service to address the backlog of approximately 325 damp and mould cases that currently fall below housing standards.
The scope includes the inspection, assessment, and reporting of damp and mould issues in council properties, along with recommendations for necessary repairs.
The primary objective is to replace the current ad hoc arrangement with a formal contract to ensure consistent and timely compliance with Awaab's Law.
The project objectives and outcomes aim is to achieve efficiencies and savings through a structured approach to damp and mould management. and obtain key deliverables such as detailed survey reports, recommendations for remedial actions, and compliance with statutory requirements.
This contract is required for a statutory council service and will be a recurring contract.
A consultancy service will not be required, as all related activities will be managed internally by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and co-ordinated with the contractor executing these works.
