Description

Developing the Programme Delivery Capabilities in order to support longer term transformation within the RIIO Programme Delivery sphere, working directly with the Head of Price Control Delivery:
- Implement a consistent and enduring approach to price control development and operations lifecycles - driving forward a methodical planning, delivery and assurance framework for setting up and operating all price controls across the sectors.
- Significantly improve the programme's ability to estimate short to long-term resource needs, and to monitor the expenditure against programme budgets.
- Improve the efficiency of project management - work with the programme delivery office to ensure that projects are scheduled effectively, sufficiently resourced, and that dependencies are managed, and with Subject Matter Experts across the programme to support planning, delivery and implementation of decisions.
- Develop an improved common approach to capturing decisions across sectors and a strong audit trail in order to provide better preparation for defence against legal challenge.
- Lead dependency management across the programme (particularly highlighting interface risks between teams), working with sector leads and Delivery Managers to identify and resolve issues.
The contract will commence on 12th October 2020 to the 12th January 2021 with the option to extend for up to a 3 month period until 31st March 2021 at the discretion of the Authority.
