Description
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council ("the Council") has the following responsibilities for the burial or cremation of certain individuals as detailed under the following legislation:
• Public Health (Control of Diseases) Act 1984 - Part 3 (Disposal of Dead Bodies), Section 46 Burial and Cremation.
• National Assistance Act 1948 - Part 4 (General and Supplementary), Section 50 (Burial or cremation of the dead).
In order to comply with these duties, the Council is seeking to procure a sole provider framework for the provision of funeral services to include burials and cremations in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
