Description

Finance Earth, in partnership with WWF, have designed and proposed a Blue Impact Fund (BIF) and Ocean Recovery Trust (ORT) to attract and manage impact investment (BIF) and philanthropic / grant investment (ORT) for the marine and coastal environment. This fund was one of the key output recommendations from the Marine Pioneer. It should result in additional funding being available to support the DEFRA group's coastal restoration and fishery ambitions and will pioneer an innovative financing approach for the environment.
The DEFRA group seek to engage Finance Earth to progress and complete the set-up of the BIF and ORT. Deliverables include draft fund strategies and proposals, fund set-up and incorporation and outputs delivered to support data and knowledge sharing between our respective organisations.
