In order to allow a pipeline of R&D to underpin inventory improvements as we move to the 2050 net zero target, we require:
- New inventory methodologies which estimate emissions from particular sectors with more accuracy, completeness & transparency
- More reliable, robust and transparent inventory software, to support production of accurate & open inventory estimates
We require
- technical expertise in estimating GHG emissions from sectors, including land-use, industry, waste, energy [& agriculture].
- software expertise around the application of existing analytical tools (e.g. R, Python) to scientific problems, the development of models to process large datasets & SQL database expertise.
- a contractor with strong PPM expertise to manage this work
