Description

Arts Council England (ACE) is seeking an experienced contractor to conduct a study exploring the impact of the ACE Environmental Programme since its inception in 2012 to present, addressing the different periods of the programme, as well as the overall time period. Through the study we hope to produce new data as it will consider questions about the overall impact of the programme for the first time. This element is less about reappraising existing evaluation and more about understanding the overall arc of change, generating learnings and insights.

The main aims of the impact study are to support the following outcomes:

1.Communications and advocacy: ACE and JB are frequently asked by national and international colleagues about the impact of the programme. Neither party has the assets to do this justice.

2. Partnerships and positioning: There is increasing demand to understand and replicate the programme from international, and UK-based arts funding agencies - this offers ACE and JB the opportunity to be positioned as leaders in the field.

3. Driving the mission: Evaluating and explaining the programme's model in an easily communicable format and making the case for policy intervention and cultural action on climate at scale.

4. Reflection and learning: Underpinning the other three outcomes is the desire to provide a clear-sighted and objective reflection of the Environmental Programme, and its key points of learning

Full details are available in the tender documents.
