Description
The University of Bristol Dental School (UoBDS) seeks to establish a non-exclusive multi-supplier Framework Contract for the procurement of Dental supplies to support day-to-day operations of the New Dental School.
The Framework Contract will form the basis for University to conduct business with successful Contractors.
The Framework is made up of two Lots. Bidders may bid for one or more Lots.
Lot 1 - One-stop shop
A variety of 'off-the-shelf' and specialist Dental Supplies suitable for use at the Dental School.
Contractors bidding on this lot must have a diverse range of branded/own brand products in order to satisfy the day-to-day stock requirements of the Dental School stock replenishment orders, allowing for the aggregation of requirements a single delivery where possible and desired.

Service Requirements
UoBDS require for all Lots:
- Good range of branded/own brand products which are compliant with all industry standards and decontamination processes
- Timely delivery
- Aggregation of orders
- Excellent customer service with a single point of contact
- Same-day response to email queries
- Responsive account management.
- Priority response times for delivery issues, repairs and maintenance on faulty or broken product.
- Quick and accurate ordering returns and invoicing procedures.
Dental School Soft Launch
Dental School contracted suppliers and the manufacturer will be expected to be present at the soft launch of the new Dental School in August 2023. The dates and details will be confirmed.
Technical Advice
Contractors will offer fast, professional, technical advice on all products, including but not limited to their suitability for uses, durability, safety conformance and fit and so on, including clinical trials and other evidence, durability and sustainability impacts.
Electronic Catalogue
It is a requirement of this Framework Contract that Lot 1 Contractors provide
an online catalogue of available goods.
Stock Holding
Stock availability is a key call-off criteria for this contract. Stock must ideally be held in the UK to minimise lead-times, allow for consolidation of orders and reduce the environmental impact of delivery. Stock requiring regular replenishment, should be held in sufficient quantities to remove the risk of stock-outs.
