Description

Project-Clinical consultant/ adviser to work with commissioners on the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Programme, sex offender's strategy, including the use of medication to manage sexual arousal. The work has national strategic implications.

This is an invitation to ascertain if there are parties interested in delivering the following:
NHS England - Midlands and East are considering tendering for the services of a clinical consultant/ adviser to work with commissioners on the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Programme, sex offender's strategy, including the use of medication to manage sexual arousal. The work has national strategic implications.

The commissioners estimate that this work with take between 10 to 20 days; flexibility to extend the number of days to 30 may be required.
The Key deliverables include, but are not limited to:
National:
• Develop a specification for Offender Personality Disorder services for sex offenders, following a pathway approach, from community into secure settings and out to the community
• Contribute to the strategic thinking around sex offenders on the OPD pathway
• To provide clinical consultancy to the pathway on medication to manage sexual arousal, particularly in relation to the community provision and on a case by case basis.

NHS England invites expression of Interest for this project. Can you please complete the attached questionnaire and return by 15 December 2015. Information received during this process will be used to inform potential future solutions. Intellectual property rights will be retained by NHS England as part of the contract.
