About the Opportunity:
The MPS has developed a number of applications, including and enterprise service bus, in vehicle applications and various integration services. These applications are currently managed by the teams that developed the applications. Applications are transitioning into support. The structure, processes and resources within the existing teams needs to meet the ongoing support requirement. The existing applications and services need to be supported during transition to the live services and ongoing support is required. At the same time the support of the application maintenance and support of all applications needs to be formalised, maintained and supported.
REQUIREMENT:
SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER FOR IN HOUSE SUPPORT
A security cleared experienced service delivery manager who has led teams of more than 10 people in delivering on-going operations support for mission critical applications.
- ITIL qualified
- Experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party services
- Leadership and people management skills
- Service Architecture and Design: experience
- Cost and Budget forecast capital and run costs management for a service delivery operation
- Control resourcing plans for the support function with an eye on utilisation rates and cost reductions for live services.
- Understand and deliver service level requirements
- Improved efficiency of live services support function working with DevOps, Developers help desks and support teams
- Lead and guide teams in delivering the ongoing service
- Experience in supporting Linux, MS operating systems
- Provide single point of contact for the operations support delivery
- Experience in performance and operational management of the IT support and service delivery operation
- Maintain and facilitate positive team inter- communications (e.g. scrum of scrums)
- Maintain relationships with business and partner stakeholders
- Manage monthly Service Reviews
