Description

The objective of this Contract is to deliver a suite of Works on an upland Site in the South Pennines SAC. The aim of this Works suite is to stabilise and revegetate bare peat, restore hydrology, and increase biodiversity on the Sites.
The Works comprise the following tasks:
• Forwarding and Airlifting of Materials and Equipment required to Works Sites (Stone, Bales, Brash Bags & Lime, Seed & Fertiliser).
• Installation of 247 stone dams into gullies
• Installation of 75 Heather Bales into gullies
• Spreading 800 bags of Heather Brash and Lime, Seed & Fertiliser on bare peat
• Planting 12,500 sphagnum plugs
• Removal of Waste Materials from Sites.
