Description

The University records and manages Environmental, Health and Safety and Security incidents in order to meet its duty of care and other legal duties towards its students, staff and others affected by its activities such as regulatory bodies (e.g. Health & Safety Executive, Environment Agency) and in order to meet its internal and external reporting requirements.

The current systems are manually administered and therefore are labour intensive for the Academic and Professional Services departments involved. An electronic Incident Management tool for Environmental, Health and Safety and Security incidents is required to assist with improving the proactive management of risks, to enable the monitoring of performance and to reduce the risks and effort involved with the use of manual administration.
