The provision of a safe and friendly temporary home for children (hosting), befriending and support for struggling parents and access to useful goods and services. Reducing the number of children in care is a key priority of the Transforming Children's Services Programme and the input is seen as crucial to achieving the desired outcomes. The goal is to achieve reduced spend on placements as a result of volunteers providing hosting for children rather than them having to become looked after and cared for by foster carers.
