Description
Defra procuring on behalf of Natural England:
This is a partnership project between Natural England (NE) and the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) 2016/17. The aim is to provide co-ordinated advice to deliver landscape scale habitat for wild pollinators and farmland wildlife across large areas of farmland, including in the privately funded Cranborne and Allenford Farmer Clusters, and surrounding farmland. A key part of the work will be to generate local farmer engagement, making the most of local knowledge and actively seeking their views on how best to deliver wildlife recovery across a farmed landscape. The project is co-funded by the Swire Trust, local farmers and the GWCT and is a Public/Private sector partnership. The project will demonstrate how the Public and Private sector can work together on flagship projects to deliver countryside biodiversity outcomes at the landscape scale.
