Description

Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group is exploring options on how to commission a Community Cardiology and Heart Failure Service to replace existing services.

The potential new service could include

1. Community cardiology diagnostics (Currently West/North locality)
2. Community cardiology assessment and advice service, supporting Primary Care focused treatment / management (Currently West/North locality)
3. Community heart failure service (Currently Sarum locality with diagnostic echo)
4. Heart failure lifestyle optimisation, self-management and rehab (Currently Sarum locality)

To assist in the exploratory exercise Commissioner are seeking to engage with suitably qualified providers to help inform their next steps. This will include impacts and costs of replacing existing services like for like or expanding provision to the entire Wiltshire geography

The full service scope is in the process of being defined and the Commissioner will be holding Market Engagement Event (MEE) with the aim of:
• Engaging with providers
• Understanding the interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified providers
• Informing the commissioning process
• Gathering information from stakeholders that may be used to shape a commissioning / procurement process and documentation.

To register for the MEE that will be held virtually on 22/07/21 please complete the form attached to this Notice and return to scwcsu.whprocurement@nhs.net by 5pm on 19/07/21.
An invitation will be issued to the interested party with a copy of the draft specification before the event. In addition to the MEE, interested parties may request a 25 minute virtual audience with commissioners to discuss the proposed services. These spaced are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you are unable to attend but would like to receive a copy of the presentation materials please email scwcsu.whprocurement@nhs.net and following the completion of a questionnaire a copies will be sent to you.
An expression of interest to attend this MEE is no indication of a commitment to participate in any future tender process nor does it infer any special status on those Providers who do attend. An expression of interest in this event will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. Any procurement conducted subsequent to the event will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published.

Providers who do not attend this MEE will still be able to apply for the Procurement in the future. Please note that this MEE does not represent a formal stage in the procurement process and attendance will play no part in any subsequent evaluation process.

This activity is being managed by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.
