Description

Manchester Road Retaining Wall (TMBC No. 556) is located on the south side of Manchester Road A57 in Hyde, Tameside (Grid Reference SJ 938 953). The wall is aligned from east to west and supports Manchester Road A57 carriageway as well as a pedestrian footway. The lower side of the wall is a private field. The wall has a retained height that varies, with a maximum of ~2.0m and a total length of approximately 110m. The approximate width of the footway is 2.4m.
