Description
The Council commissioned a review of its homelessness service in August 2018 following unprecedented levels homeless households in temporary accommodation the borough. Whilst the review was focused on the team that provided homeless services, interconnecting services were also looked at including external factors contributing to the current situation.
As a result of capacity constraints, the Council is seeking to commission an independent firm to implement the recommendation of the earlier review. The service is also about to consult on reorganisation proposals so it needs the additional capacity to carry out the specific changes of the review whilst the organisation is taken through the consultation process.
