Description

2854/509/NAMRC/20 Fixture Development

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for fixture development on behalf of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement
Nuclear AMRC are studying manufacturing technology improvements to simplify the production of Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) containers, which will ultimately lead to them being made as efficiently as possible (keeping the costs to a minimum for both the NDA and the UK taxpayer).
As part of this project, a number of production jigs and fixtures are required to support internal technology trials and preproduction activities. The jigs and fixtures have been identified as key enablers and therefore this RFQ is for the design, make package of work.
