Description

Sheffield City Council is looking to carry out a Soft Market Test (SMT) at an early stage in relation to provision of Pay and Display Meters.

In January 2018 the Cabinet Member for Transport and Sustainability approved the Parking Strategy for the city as a statement of the Council's commitment to the future of parking in support of the emerging policies set out in the Sheffield Transport Vision, City Centre Master Plan 2013 and Sheffield Local Plan.
A number of actions were proposed including introduction of new area wide parking schemes. These schemes require a number of Pay and Display machines.

The machines will be Solar Powered and will need the facility to accept coins, chip and pin and contactless payments.

The SMT will be used to help inform the approach to market and recommendations prior to a formal procurement opportunity.
