Description
Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to purchase saliva collection devices for testing the presence of a range of pathogens and suitable for the collection of crevicular fluid for laboratory processing.
The requirement must meet the following mandatory specifications for the saliva collection devices:
- It must be capable to detect the following range:
- Measles
- Hepatitis
- HIV
- Meningitis
- Ebola
- Syphilis
- Dengue Fever
- Malaria
- Vaccination effectiveness monitoring
- The design must be suitable for home testing when sent as a kit
In addition to standard swabs the requirement must cover a range of swabs that does not need to be handled by the laboratory staff during processing.
