Description

We are looking for a community group (supplier) with extensive expertise and experience of increasing health literacy within the British Kashmiri and South Asian populations, to sensitively and appropriately deliver a programme of activities (as detailed below) to tackle vaccine complacency and promote health and vaccination literacy within South Asian and Muslim communities impacted by health inequalities and language barriers.

Activities:
1. Health literacy (video, audio, social media content, leaflets and posters) - co-develop and distribute unique and translated (Pahari, Urdu and English) bespoke marketing materials with input from trusted local voices and relevant community organisations. These will answer questions from the community and help people understand:
a. How vaccines work and are developed
b. How COVID-19 vaccination forms part of a proven and trusted NHS vaccination history
c. How to access COVID-19 and other childhood and adult vaccinations
d. Availability of / access to other vaccinations (e.g., flu, shingles, routine childhood vaccines)
e. Improving vaccine literacy and explaining how people (and family members) can access COVID-19 vaccinations if eligible, as well as how routine vaccinations will enable meaningful conversations to start and help reduce further health outbreaks. This will be backed by direct community action and engagement to further boost vaccine literacy.

2. Organise and host community a health & wellbeing activity or street health teams activity in each of the15 target locations listed below:

• Slough
• Stevenage
• Stockport
• Tameside
