Description
South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) and the Friends of Kingswood Park were successful in securing funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for the refurbishment of historic elements of Kingswood Park together with access improvements and improvements to the existing play area, with one of the desired outcomes being that a wider range of people will be involved with the heritage.
We are inviting suppliers to provide tenders for the design and installation of the play area at Kingswood Park, based on the requirements detailed in Schedule 3 (the Specification), the available budget, which is £230,000.00, and the NLHF outcomes we hope to meet.
This is a single-stage open tender process, and the successful tenderer will be a Named Contractor within the main contract tender documents for the overall Kingswood Park Restoration and Enhancement Project. The successful tenderer will be asked to provide the relevant information regarding the play area for inclusion in SGC's main (or 'Principal') Contractor tender documentation.
The play area will be constructed in 2025 (timetable to be agreed). We anticipate that the Principal Contractor will start works in September 2025. Work on-site for the play area will commence sometime thereafter in agreement with the Principal Contractor and the Council.
