Description
***CLOSING TIME FOR BIDS IS 16/12/2016 at 11:00 HOURS. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER***Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) provides free and impartial information and advice to employers and employees on all aspects of workplace relations and employment law. We support good relationships between employers and employees which underpin business success. But when things go wrong we help by providing conciliation to resolve workplace problems.
We also provide good value, high quality training and tailored advice to employers. Our expertise is based on millions of contacts with employers and employees each year and we are governed by an independent Council, including representatives of employer and employee organisations and employment experts.
The ACAS IT team are going through major changes and transformation in order to be better placed for the new and developing changes in the way IT services need to be delivered. This includes, where appropriate, taking advantage of cloud services and moving to digital services. Transformation of the team is required to ensure we get the full benefit of these new initiatives.
Before implementing a new strategy the business requires a clear picture of the current skills capability of all 28 staff. In scope for the project are 28 staff.
We are looking for a supplier to work with us and lead the project to deliver to our requirements. It is expected that this engagement will take 3 months to complete.
The Acas IT function currently consists of 28 FTE based from London head office, consisting of up to 12 job roles across the function. While the head office is situated in London there are also staff members based throughout the country and the successful supplier would need to account for this.
We expect the work to be led by the supplier. It is envisaged that it will include:
• Build / supply a tool that will allow Acas staff to manage their own SFIA data and how that maps to It and business need
• Training in SFIA to all staff and how to use the tool; training in how to administer the tool to a small set of staff
• Creation of aligned job roles underpinned by SFIA and customised with industry and application specifics
• Supplier to write a summary gap analysis report - proving input into a development plan for each member of staff
• Development plan input into the tool
