Description
To undertake a 2-Phase Feasibility Study to (i) investigate, identify and verify the current condition of the existing Civic Centre building and ascertain the implementation timescales and associated costs to ensure the building is safe and compliant in the short term, and (ii) undertake the detailed Feasibility Study to identify the refurbishment and new build annexe construction and redevelopment options available to the Council to provide maximum occupancy of the building in the long term.
The multi-discipline design team will need to have substantial expertise in project design and delivery in a sensitive heritage environment, in particular significant mechanical and electrical services replacement and upgrade and structural assessment. The contract will have provisions to break at any RIBA work stage.
