Description

Central Bedfordshire Council invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide non-statutory preventative services across Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough. Provision of services will focus on providing support for both carers and people with health conditions or disabilities and is intended to deliver four primary outcomes that underpin health and wellbeing. These outcomes are:

• People can live independently in their own home
• People are able to participate in their community
• People are not socially isolated or lonely
• People are safe and secure

These services are to be provided to adults 18 years and over. This includes all older people (65+), carers, adults with sensory, physical or learning disabilities, with an autistic spectrum condition, and adults who have had a stroke or have dementia. In addition, services are required for sibling and young carers.

The overall aim of this tendering exercise is to develop the voluntary and community sector provision in Bedfordshire to ensure that people have access to high quality and effective support solutions that enable them to maintain their wellbeing, remain independent in their own homes and participate in their communities.

The successful providers will be contracted for a three year period with up to two additional years at the Council's discretion.

Help and Support - The Council will provide as much support and information as it can to help guide you through the Tender process. Questions asked together with the response will be made available to all bidding organisations to ensure a fair and consistent approach to all. If there is anything you are not sure of or need clarification on, please contact us using the correspondence facility within the In-tend electronic tendering system.
