Description

Robots and Artificial Intelligence Collaboration (RAICo) is a new programme managed by UKAEA on behalf of a collaboration, including the National Decommissioning Authority (NDA), Sellafield and the University of Manchester.

This programme includes a number of research themes seeking to understand how robotics and AI can support the future of nuclear decommissioning. The aim of this procurement is to appoint a supplier to assemble the parts to build a prototype glovebox is to de-risk robotic operations within the glovebox working with the Materials Research Facility based at UKAEA.

UKAEA is seeking a to award a contract to a suitably experienced Supplier able to integrate the specified components provided in this specification into a glovebox in accordance with the design set out in the technical drawings.
The work needs to be completed in a compressed timeframe of not more than 8 weeks from the date the final technical drawings are made available and will include all phases of the build plus two stages of testing plus final sign off in accordance with the tender technical specification.
