Description

Project requires a suitable contractor to undertake minor refurbishment works within an existing school building. The works also require the contractor to liaise with new water and electricity suppliers in order to provide these utility services into the existing building and their respective connection to the existing water pipework and electricity backbone cabling. The client is placing the orders with the electricity and water suppliers and once a Contractor has been appointed for this project, it is envisaged that the Contractor would continue direct liaison with the relevant suppliers. Works also include the installation of CAT6A cabling from designated rooms back to the designated Server Room including other related ICT provisions as detailed in the ITT documentation. It should be noted that the ICT service is being procured by the Client using Nexus (an ICT contractor). The successful contractor will be required to liaise with the ICT services provider and Nexus in order to facilitate the cable route into the building to the Server room. All installed systems are required to be fully tested, commissioned and proved serviceable at the point of completion. The project also involves demolition of a small existing timber structure (1 classroom) which is currently sited on the playground. The project also requires the Contractor to construct a car park (Planning Pending) on a piece of land which is approximately 100m south of the existing school building. Please read the ITT documents fully as this drafting only represents a summary of the works required.
