Description

The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust wish to appoint a Clerk of works required to commence from the 3rd January 2022. We require Building, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines, working 3 days a week. The project is a major £24m expansion of Emergency department at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust Wonford site. The scheme was let to Morgan Sindall under a NEC contract commencing October 2020, managed with NEC PM and Supervisors, with a planned programme to complete by the end of March 2023. Please find attached the programme as proposed giving the tenderer a general idea of the proposed works up until September 2022. The role will provide an independent assessment of the works undertaken, create open dialogue with all project disciplines, producing a weekly report, and reporting directly to the Trust Capital Project Manager. The report would include a site diary, photographic evidence, highlighting potential risk and how items are closed out. The role will be 3 days a week, generally onsite, but the Trust understands the requirement to review proposed information. There would be a requirement to get up to speed with the project, and this should be outlined within your fee proposal. Site visits can be made prior to submission of tender if required.
