Description
TfGM wishes to procure a GMEV Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (GMEV EVCI) Operation andMaintenance Agreement which shall enable extension, improvement and operation of Electric Vehicle ChargingInfrastructure within Greater Manchester and within the boundaries of the Association of Greater ManchesterAuthorities. The services provided will supply and fulfil Electric Vehicle Charging Products to consumers and willencourage the uptake and usage of ultra-low emission vehicle and transportation usage.
The GMEV EVCI Operation and Maintenance Agreement will provide (including any related services):
• supply of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including charge points and any other infrastructure that willenable electric vehicle charging;
• services to design, install, configure, commission and deploy electric vehicle charging infrastructure atdesignated locations;
• supply of technical refresh to upgrade or replace the existing estate of GMEV vehicle charging infrastructure;
• a membership scheme (which may for example include RFID access to electric vehicle charging infrastructure)supported by a back-office;
• a Merchant Acquirer to process EMV customer transactions;
• a payware service that will enable back office processing of EMV transactions to the Merchant Acquirer;• a back-office that will enable oversight and management of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure,configuration, operational status and service and maintenance status;
• electricity supply;
• an overstay penalty mechanism;
• operational management to provide reactive and preventative maintenance;
• additional infrastructure that will be owned and operated in all respects by the supplier independently ofGMEV; and
• innovation and continuous improvement.
