Description

The Culham Science Centre, is an 80 Hectare area in Oxfordshire, which is home to a large number of individual buildings occupied by the UK Atomic Energy Authority (the Authority), which is the UK's leading centre for Fusion research, and other commercial companies to whom accommodation is leased.

The Culham Science Centre is made up of many buildings which are surrounded by a variety of landscape types ranging from formally planted beds, shrubs, tree belts and wooded areas, short and long grass areas and are as of bio-diversity interest.

The Authority has a requirement for the continued maintenance of its grounds along with planned preventative and reactive pest control. Grounds maintenance services include grass cutting, pruning, weeding, herbicide treatments and minor tree works. Tree work and other grounds works are carried out as additions to the main contract. The Authority has an active environmental protection policy and works to protect and improve the diversity of wildlife and plant species on site.

Please Note, a Site Visit will be held Tuesday 12 December 2017. Attendance at a Site Visit is a Mandatory requirement of tendering for this requirement.
