Description

Bath and North East Somerset Council are seeking to appoint a contractor on a design and build basis for works related to the new detached six classroom block at Saltford C of E Primary School, Claverton Road, Saltford, Bristol, BS31 3DW.
A full planning application was submitted on 28th April to construct a new six classroom block to the rear of the School and to demolish a number of portable modular buildings.
The successful contractor will need to:
1. Develop and complete the design from RIBA Stage 4 to construction issue;
2. Discharge all planning conditions and other statutory regulations;
3. Construct the new detached building within the existing School site (the school will remain live and fully operational during the works);
4. Decommission and demolish the existing portable modular buildings complete with foundations. Reinstate the grounds to use as play areas.
The successful contractor will be appointed by B&NES under the NEC3 Option A form of contract as a Design & Build procurement route.
