Description

Rotherham Council has an ambitious house building programme with more than 400 new homes planned over the next five years. In recognition of the difficulties faced by first time buyers, the Council is for the first time building shared ownership homes, the first of which will be completed in early 2019.
The Council is seeking to contract with an external agency with an excellent track record and expertise in the sales and marketing of shared ownership properties.
The agency will be required to demonstrate its ability to deliver to the Council's time frame, robust financial forecasting, and high quality sales and marketing of shared ownership properties. The Council has developed a brand: \"Rother Living\", which must feature prominently in the marketing strategy for shared ownership homes.
The Council is also considering the optimum delivery arrangements for ongoing management and maintenance of the properties and has therefore included questions pertaining to this. However the scope of the contract is limited to sales and marketing.
In addition the agent will be expected to enter into a data sharing agreement to collect and share relevant information (as set out in the contract) with the Council. The envisaged contract will be for a period of up to 24 months, after which progress, performance and demand will be evaluated. The contract will be extended in agreement with the successful provider to meet the original brief if required. During the contract period, the successful agency will be expected to work alongside the Council's Strategic Housing and Development Service to support the development of internal service provision in the future.
