Description
The Vehicle Support Team has a requirement to strip, inspect and refurbish circa 700 final drives on the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked (CVRT) Mk 1. This requirement will involve inserting new planet carrier assemblies into all drives. Refurbishment of final drives are required to occur on a rolling basis to allow final drives to be cycled through the fleet. A minimum of 20 drives are to be refurbished each month.
Refurbishment of final drives will require the Contractor to have the ability to inspect and repair (or replace) final drive components ensuring that they are within specific tolerances.
This Contract will be let using the restricted procedure of the DSPCR 2011. Interested parties are invited to complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) attached to this advert. The Authority will only invite suppliers who have completed the PQQ and satisfied its minimum requirements. A maximum of 10 suppliers will be invited to tender. In the event of more than 10 suppliers meeting the minimum requirements, only the 10 highest scoring suppliers will be invited to tender. The PQQ must be completed by 17:00 on 9th August 2018. The Contract will be for a 3-year period and include options to increase the number of final drives that are repaired by up to 15% per year.
Tenderers will be provided at the ITT stage with a Statement of Work which will detail how the final drives are to be refurbished. This will include technical drawings for components required to achieve this. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to source all required parts and ensure that they conform to the specified standards.
The planned release date for the invitation to Tender is 31st August 2018. Suppliers invited to tender will be given a minimum of 40 calendar days to respond to this tender. Funding for this requirement has been provisionally approved however no bid costs will be covered. Invited Tenderer's bids will be evaluated to determine the Most Economically Advantageous Tender. No reverse auction will be used.
