Description

HeadStart Blackpool is building a legacy across Blackpool to ensure the programme has a lasting positive impact on the town. Following key discussions with all stakeholders including young people and parents/carers, the HeadStart Executive Board has approved the recommendation to develop a commission for a "not for profit" organisation to continue delivering key successful elements of the programme and to further develop those that are showing promise.

· Provision of Resilient Therapy and Academic Resilience Approach workforce development (for anyone who lives, works or volunteers in Blackpool)

· Coordination and facilitation of a wide range of co-productive practice in a range of settings, including schools

· Develop activist activity as a mechanism to build individual, family and community resilience, and to change systems

· Connect the work of the Resilience Revolution social movement to regional and national platforms

· Develop and embed capacity building roles for young people and parents/carers, including voluntary roles, apprenticeships and part time sessional roles specifically for individuals who have expertise in facing life's challenges

· Support the community to take an active role in the International Resilience Conference to be held in Blackpool in Spring 2022 .

It is anticipated that the contract term will be from 01.01.21 to 31.07.22. However, given that this commission is a key part of the sustainability plan for the Resilience Revolution, it is expected that the successful bidder will identify and secure alternative sources of funding in order for this work to continue beyond the end of the contract.

This tender falls under the Light Touch Regime services. Blackpool Borough Council are broadly following the Public contract Regulations 2015
