Description

****Please note that, although the contract will be awarded in early February and the contract start date is the 5th February, Historic England do not anticipate engaging fully with the awarded supplier until early March 2019.****

Objectives of the Loss and Destruction programme:
Over the next 12 months, the Loss and Destruction programme will -
oDemonstrate that heritage, when threatened and saved, can bring people together and reinforce collective identity and community cohesion.
oHighlight and facilitate the role the public can play in saving heritage.

'Projections' is one strand of Historic England's 2019 cultural programme, anchored by our work with the Imperial War Museum on the exhibition What Remains. This exhibition runs from July 2019 - January 2020. Other related programme activity includes pop-up cinema screenings in 'at risk' historic properties around the country during the summer and 'Love Letters to Places' - a campaign around Valentine's Day which gets celebrities to write love letters to places that are special to them.

Production and design schedule:
March 2019 - October 2019:
o Writing element complete (rough outline in March, final piece in May);
o projection artists and suppliers appointed;
o production work carried out;
o digital aspects of work carried out;
o promotion and marketing work is planned;
o regular project planning and working groups meetings throughout the period.

October - November 2019:
o Event takes place for approx. 2-3 nights at each location
