Description

BEIS is seeking to appoint financial advisers for the duration of the design and delivery process for the Horizon project in Wylfa (targeting conclusion by 2021/22). The objectives we expect a financial advisor to assist in achieving are to:
• Maximise our confidence that the projects will deliver;
• Minimise the funding required of HMG sources and consumers; and
• Ensure that there is minimal risk to the public balance sheet; while
• Achieving state aid compliance; and
• Achieving effective competitive tension between projects, reducing costs.

A contract award notice for this was published on 17th January 2017. This notice will be replacing the earlier award notice since this will clarify how this opportunity was procured.

BEIS undertook a procurement by running a mini competition from a Crown Commercial Services framework, RM1502 Consultancy One (Lot 4.1), when suppliers on that lot where invited to submit bids by 13th September 2017 for evaluation. After an evaluation of bids a contract was awarded on 10th December. The contract was signed by both parties prior to the award notice being published on 17th January 2018.
