Description

Provision of 100 Meter Modular Portable Indoor Range complexes including support.

The requirement is for 3 x 100-metre (100m) indoor range complexes that are scalable and modular so that they can be transported if required, with an option to purchase further ranges within 2 years. It should provide bespoke on-site facilities available all year round and meet the requirements of the operational shooting policy. The initial ranges must be delivered no later than 31 March 2025. An Option is also included for the provision of up to 10 years maintenance and support for each range.

Initial Requirements

The initial requirement is to provide and deliver 1x 100m portable indoor modular ranges to each of the following MOD site locations:

- 40 Commando RM, Norton Manor Camp, Taunton
- 45 Commando RM, RM Condor, Arbroath
- Commando Logistic Regiment, RMB Chivenor, Barnstaple

The ranges shall be scalable and customisable so that they can be expanded or extended if required. In support of the wider defence estates rationalisation programme, they must have the ability to be moved and reinstalled in a relatively simple manner. Primary use is for live fire (LF) activity up to 100m, by up to 6 dismounted users or 1 vehicle (no more than 3.4 meters high) with a pintle weapons mount. In addition, its function would be to provide a 24-hour capable, controlled environment in which weapons, ammunition and equipment firing and trials can also take place. This will reduce the requirement for travel and subsistence on the unit due to distances involved to use similar outdoor facilities and enhance long term Value for Money (VfM)
