Description
This is a confirmation of award following the below tender.
The original advert read as follows:
The University of Chester is seeking to appoint one contractor to provide Asbestos Management Survey services .
The contract is for the provision of:
• asbestos management surveys for 192 no. buildings comprising the majority of the University's estate, over which it has control, as set out in the procurement documents.
• full asbestos demolition surveys for 2 no. buildings in Chester, as set out in bold in the procurement documents.
These buildings are predominantly based in 4 geographical locations; Chester, Warrington, Birkenhead and Ince, although future requirements may also extend to other locations if a requirement for a survey is determined.
All surveys should be completed progressively within an anticipated 24-month timeframe from the date of appointment. Tenderers are advised that work is to commence on site no later than four weeks after contract award. The mobilisation period is included within this duration.
Additional Information:
Envisaged minimum number of candidates is 5.
As buildings may be taken out of use, (either temporarily or permanently), new buildings/campuses brought into use or additional inspections than those outlined within the original schedule, no guarantee can be given regarding the volume of business placed with the appointed provider
