Description
Bromford have identified the following properties requiring upgrade works to the fire alarm systems, including replacement of closed protocol fire panels and upgrading fire alarm-linked equipment such as smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detection devices: 1. Beacon Park Village in Lichfield, 2. David Garrick Gardens (both Garrick House and Boswell House) in Lichfield, 3. St Albans Court in Wolverhampton and 4. The Oaks in Wolverhampton. The successful Contractor will be responsible for: - Design as necessary; - Removal of the existing redundant equipment; - Supply and installation of the new equipment, including, where required, provision of interfaces with other equipment such as passenger lift recall facility and warden call system; - Where applicable, provision of all works by associated trades to provide a full turn-key installation, and - Provision of maintenance and reactive call-out service during the 12 months defects rectification period, all in accordance with the Contract Specification, all other Contract Documents and all applicable standards, codes, laws, regulations, Statutory Requirements, including all revisions and changes in effect at the time of the Contract Award. Although the works at all sites are being tendered as one package and will be evaluated as one lot, the award will be split into two contracts with the same contractor: 1. One Contract for the works at Beacon Park Village, which is expected to commence by 14th March 2019. (Note: Mandatory Section 20 Leaseholder Consultation process applies to this site and the date above takes into account the period required to undertake this process). 2. The other Contract for the works at the remainder sites in the scope of this procurement, which is expected to commence by 25th February 2019. (Note: these sites do not require Leaseholder Consultation under Section 20, thus enabling earlier award and commencement of the contract). Completion dates are to be agreed (suggested programmes of work will be evaluated as part of the Quality award criteria).
