Description
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council wish to install a non-turf cricket pitch in 3 parks/green spaces across the borough: Bearmore Playing Field - Cradley Heath, Jubilee Park - Tipton and Lewisham Park - Smethwick.
The requirement is for ECB Approved cricket pitch system surfaced with wilton woven cricket carpet in order to meet ECB TS6 and ECB Code of Practice requirements. Pitch to be installed by an ECB Approved system supplier, an ECB Approved system installer and a Company which has been awarded The ECB Code of Practice kite mark. (evidence of compliance will be required).
o Completion: Upon completion the immediate surrounding ground is to be suitably re-instated in line with ECB TS6 requirements and guidelines.
o Maintenance: A periodic maintenance package for five years should be included. This should encompass periodic, specialist maintenance to keep the pitches in excellent condition.
To be included:
o Annual or bi-annual base formation and shock pad checks and restoration
o Annual carpet checks and re-tensioning
o Provision for a reasonable number of patch repairs
Not be included:
o Grass cutting
o Day-to-day or week-to-week maintenance such as brushing off debris or crease marking
o Site management costs
