Description

The Council wishes to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of Mortality Services including: Memorial benches and products, Inspections and making safe of memorials, Collections of deceased persons, Provision of Funerals, Monument Masonry Services, and a funeral Director Services.

The Framework Agreement will last for 4 years (unless terminated under agreement provisions) for all lots except lot 5, which will be for up to 8 years.

The Framework Agreement (lots 1-8) will be awarded to up to 14 suppliers, as follows:

Lot 1 Up to 2 providers to ensure complete coverage for all the products included in this lot.
Lot 2 Up to 4 providers to ensure complete coverage for all the products included in this lot.
Lot 3 1 provider to ensure contract management efficiency
Lot 4 1 provider to ensure contract management efficiency
Lot 5 1 provider to ensure contract management efficiency
Lot 6 Up to 3 providers, one for each of lot a, b and c to ensure contract management efficiency
Lot 7 1 provider to ensure contract management efficiency
Lot 8 1 provider to ensure contract management efficiency

Tenderers may bid for one, all or a number of lots but each lot will be evaluated and awarded separately as detailed in the Invitation to Tender document.

The contract will be for a period of four years commencing in December 2024.

BCC will be using its e-tendering system (In-tend) for the administration of the procurement process. Potential providers must register on In-tend to be able to express an interest in this project. The web address is https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc
