Description

The works subject to this procurement comprise of Phase 2 of the Hill Head Coastal Protection Project. The works are to be undertaken during the summer of 2017, see WI 500, and comprise the construction of a new sheet pile wall with concrete capping beam approximately 150m long to replace the existing failed defences.

The Works also comprise of raising of planking levels to Groynes 43 to 50 (inclusive), along the specified frontage at Hill Head. The Works will increase the height of the groyne field by adding extra timber planks, to the existing structures only, no raising of timber piles are required.
