Description

1.1 A cryostat with ample space for samples as well as mulitple amplification stages is necessary to perform low noise measurements of sensors as well as enabling low-temperature amplification of voltage metrology devices. This new cryostat is required to provide a larger sample space (~200 mm diameter) to allow for low temperature amplification stages and more complicated measurement setups. Multiple low temperature stages (one for devices, one for amplification would be ideal). Must be a dry system in line with NPLs commercial strategy for dry systems. Setup would require a minimum of 2x RF lines. System must have built-in thermometry and temperature control as well as requisite read-out/control electronics.
