Description
East Herts Council are currently seeking competent and skilled contractors for their Trinity Close Play Area Refurbishment & Groundworks contract.
The park is located in Bishops Stortford CM23.
This contract is to supply and install a play area to a high standard in combination with some extensive groundworks. The equipment has already been chosen by our designers to meet the needs of our customers. The project requires extensive earthworks to dramatically alter the profile of the land requiring highly skilled construction work. The newly formed contours will be defined by a new footpath and a large sand play area.
The successful tenderer must be able to interpret complex plans and specifications. The works must be delivered safely and to a reasonably tight deadline. Companies that are not available to deliver the works during October and November 2020 should not apply.
Experience of installing play equipment to the appropriate British and European Standards is essential.
The site has challenges relating to steep gradients which will require a technical understanding of how to work methodically across a space maintaining constructional access at all times.
The park is relatively small and located in a residential area with closely parked cars along a narrow entrance road. The successful contractor will demonstrate experience of working closely with the public in a sensitive way to maintain access for machinery and equipment and the removal of sub-soil.
Our well received designs were created by a landscape architect with an excellent track record of public consultation and creating imaginative play spaces. The Council welcomes tenderers who are able to complement that first phase of the project to deliver a scheme that our customers will be proud of.
Please note the deadline for returns and allow sufficient time to make your return as late returns will not be permitted.
Any questions relating to this tender should be made via correspondence on the website and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above.
