Description

LBBD is seeking to procure a suitably experienced organisation to deliver a programme of collaborative leadership, capacity building and community infrastructure development with residents and leaders of organisations of faith across the borough. They will also be expected to have a strong understanding of the borough, how to engage with organisations of faith, residents and signicant experience of how to build capacity within networks and organisations in a collaborative manner.
The provider will ensure that this programme:
- Seeks to develop existing leaders from organisations of faith as well as identifying new champions in this area to engage in dialogue and leadership across and at all levels of the community.
- Builds capacity that will remain after the funding has ended as well as creating sustainable models of community activity, participation and dialogue that can be owned and continued by existing organisations in the borough without additional funding.
- Support and demonstrate the impact of faith communities in Barking and Dagenham.
- Create an online resource for faith communities locally and establish and maintain a data base of faith communities.
- Develop, with faith communities, a faith policy for the borough as a first step
- Develop a framework for faith community engagement that is sustainable post 2020.
