Description

The Doctor Support Service provides confidential emotional support to doctors who are under a GMC investigation. Each doctor will be allocated a supporter who is available for telephone based support but also to attend a GMC hearing if required (up to 2 days) and a Doctor Meeting if required (meetings are usually 1 hour). The aim of this service is to ensure that doctors are emotionally supported through our processes.
The Doctor Support Service will also be required to provide a safety net of support for doctors who require emotional support outside of core operational hours
