Description

The British Council produces a large quantity of video content and this is increasing in line with customer behaviour. Content ranges from showcasing of our programmes in Arts and Education, to educational videos for our English teaching offer, to internal communication and training videos to promotional content and corporate videos. Whilst some of our video content is currently created in-house, increasingly we need to commission video content externally. To ensure creative quality and brand consistency, along with cost-effectiveness. Via this procurement exercise we are looking to set up a framework of suppliers who can get to know our brand and deliver to a high standard.
The framework will be made up of two lots:
o General video production (Please see Annex 6 for more information with regards to examples of video content) and
o Specialist education videos and audio.
The British Council has an established brand and identity which all agencies on the framework will be expected to understand and follow. In addition, we have two separate brands with their own identities - IELTS and Study UK. All agencies on the framework will be expected to understand and follow their guidelines. All our assets and guidelines are stored on the British Council Brand Hub and tendering agencies can request access to familiarise themselves with our brands.
The purpose and scope of this ITT and supporting documents is to explain in further detail the requirements of the British Council and the process for submitting a tender proposal.
No guarantee of work will be provided in the event that a supplier is placed on either framework. Each call-off contract (commission) will be subject to the call-off arrangements for each framework. Suppliers are able to submit a bid for one or both lots.
Framework suppliers will be required to respond to a wide variety of work, some 'low cost/quick turnaround' items and then larger scale pieces of activity, all varying in cost. How this engagement will be managed will be part of the supplier briefing following the completion of this tender exercise.
