Description

This opportunity is advertised through The Chest https://www.the-chest.org.uk/ Improvements to the A595 through Bothel are proposed over a length of 5.3km, located between Threapland Junction (southwest of Bothel) and Cock Bridge over the River Ellen (northeast of Bothel). The proposed highway construction involves online widening and new offline sections and will include earthworks comprising cuttings, embankments and a culvert to cross the local watercourse.

A contractor is required to undertake an intrusive investigation. This will confirm the nature and condition of the superficial deposits and solid strata along the preferred alignment, with the groundwater and contaminative status also being determined. See tender document for further information.
